A rather miserable day today in Melbourne -- cold & rainy -- so I wasn't inspired to do much other than read & watch downloaded TV shows. I did eventually venture out (I was hungry) -- and the sun decided to venture out also -- so I grabbed some lunch and walked around for a bit and snapped some photos. Melbourne is known for its street art --- you can see murals, etc. on buildings all over the place. The most famous street art cites are in the downtown area -- but there are some cool examples in my area (see pics). Note: Building owners need to get street art permits and there are a bunch of other rules; street art includes stencils, paste-ups and murals -- and does not include graffiti or tagging, which is illegal.
Tomorrow I'm off on a tour to Phillip Island (about 90 miles SSE of Melbourne). There is a big colony of little penguins on the island -- so I'm primarily going there to see them come ashore at dusk -- hopefully the weather will be decent.
Weather: miserable most of the day (cold & rainy), 1 hour of warmth & sunshine, 48 - 61F
Miles Walked: 3.5
Pic Notes:

Pic Notes:
- 1, 2: random shots -- I just liked the buildings
- 3, 4, 5, 7: street art
- 6: cute cottage sitting all on its own. I've noticed that most of the older cottages / houses have names on them -- if you zoom in on the top center of the cottage -- you can see a part of the cottage name: MA???A (I think it's 'MARTHA')
- 7 - 12: random shots from my balcony
