On my way to Hobart, Tasmania. With the timing of the flights -- decided that it would be easiest to fly into Auckland the day before my flight to Hobart (which connects through Melbourne). Generally, I try to avoid connecting flights -- but didn't have any other option in this case -- and while I could have done all of the flights in 1 day, I didn't want to worry out about missing 2 connections.
I'm staying at the Novotel Airport at the hotel. While very convenient for tomorrow's flight (it'll take me 1 minute to get to the check-in counter tomorrow morning) -- made it rather boring for today. I did search out a place to get a pedicure (took a bus to a rather dodgy area -- good & cheap pedicure though -- and only witnessed the start of 1 fight between 2 girl gangs).
Weather: sunny w/some puffy clouds, 55 - 75F
